For Students: Getting Ready
Clicker keypad options:
To participate in a clicker session, you will need a clicker keypad (ie., response device). If you own a web accessible mobile device, you may use it as a "clicker" after purchasing a special license that will give you access to the polling application. Otherwise, you can purchase an RF or an XR model clicker from the bookstore.
See instructions for these options, below:
Web Accessible Mobile Devices (iPhone/iTouch, Blackberry, laptop, etc)
- This option gives you access to http://rwpoll.com, which will allow you to use your mobile device to respond to your instructor's clicker presentation. IMPORTANT: For this to work, your Instructor must login to ReponseWare web at the beginning of the presentation and provide you with a Session ID. Please confirm with your Instructor that he or she plans to do this. If not, you must then purchase an XR or RF keypad (below).
- Compatible devices include personal mobile devices that can access the internet, such as an iPhone/iTouch, Blackberry smartphone, a Windows mobile device, or a laptop.
- Requirements: A ResponseWare license (see below) and ability to access internet web sites.
